Are you planning on coming to Niseko for the 2016/17 winter? If you want a different type of experience and to be first on the ground to find winter work, this position may interest you.
You need to have access to a working holiday visa and have strong hospitality skills, we are looking for
several people to work at the Oyster Shack in Suttsu located on the sea of Japan during the business summer period.
The oyster shack is renowned for its all you can eat succulent hotplate steamed oysters, scallops and sea urchins. The seafood comes fresh from the ocean in front of the restaurant which is literally on the side of the ocean.
We are looking for some people with personality who would love the opportunity to help in the restaurant and make sure our mainly Japanese guests from all over Japan have a great time as well as assist us in making the experience at the Oyster Shack a better experience for the increasing number of international visitors that come through the area as well.
The position involves some kitchen work, clearing tables, talking to guests, preparing the seafood and some factory and farm work. Our factory makes various seafood dishes for the restaurant market and our farm grows tomatoes which are send to markets in Tokyo.
The business is a family run business and you will be working with local and international staff. Speaking Japanese is not a neccesity, we are looking for staff that want to be close to sea for the summer and first in line for the jobs in Niseko in winter.
The wage is 750 yen per hour.
Accomodation is 5000 yen per month. (plus utilities)
